Twin Lock BCP Proximal Medial Tibia Plate
The Twin Lock BCP Proximal Medial Tibia Plate is indicated to be used in:
- – Buttress metaphyseal fractures of the medial tibial plateau
- – Split-type fractures of the medial tibial plateau
- – Medial split fractures with associated depressions
- – Split or depression fractures of the medial tibial plateau
- – Anatomically Contoured: The plate fits exactly onto the medial proximal tibia. Soft tissue irritation is reduced. No need for intraoperative plate bending
- – Three Parallel Proximal Locking Holes: Three screws can be placed close to the articular surface with the rafting technique
- – Two 2.0 mm Proximal Holes: 2.0 mm K wires can be placed proximally for preliminary fixation or holes can be used for meniscal repair with sutures
- – Two Proximal Holes Distal to Plate Head: Hole angles allow the screws to converge with two of the three screws in the plate head, providing support to the proximal screws
- – BCP Holes: The BCP holes allow for the placement of either 3.5/5.0 mm Locking screws or 3.5 mm/5.0 mm cortical screws
- – Distal Hole: Distal hole accepts the articulated tension device, allowing for compression or distraction
- – Undercuts: Improves periosteal blood supply if the plate is pressed against the bone.
- – Bullet Nose: Allows a minimally invasive insertion of the plate
