- – The combi holes in the plate shaft combine a dynamic compression unit (DCU) hole with a locking screw hole. The combi hole provides the flexibility of axial compression and locking capability throughout the length of the plate shaft
- – The Hook plate is advantageous in situations with fractures with small lateral malleolus fragments, where the hook provides purchase in the small fragment
- – The Winged Plate provides “Wings” in the metaphyseal – diaphyseal region, facilitating the placement of additional screws through the plate system, in planes that are at significant angles to the principal plane of the plate. This provides for enhanced stability if the surgeon so desires in selected comminuted or oblique spiral fractures involving the distal fibula
